If painting the veins dark pink or green, when should they be added? p.s. after lesson 2, I have better appreciation of caladiums. 😊

Hi Facets! Glad you liked 'em. 😊 I normally paint the veins in Dark pink - using a more pigmented mixture of the Vibrant Pink Background. Here is an artwork where I painted the veins for your reference.

I paint the veins as my last step - once I've finished all my layers. 😊

Hi Tin! This was a very therapeutic lesson for me although I do still have to remind myself to alternate brushes to achieve the graded wash… sometimes with better results than others. Here are my caladiums. I didn’t use gouache as I am traveling with limited watercolours.
