Painting The Seasons With Gouache

In this workshop, we will be creating four different gouache paintings through the seasons; spring, summer, autumn, and finally, winter. We’ll create with lots of colors, paint flowers, greenery, and snow, and learn to paint some beautiful nature while bringing your artwork to life with details! The most important goal for this workshop is for you to have fun painting landscapes, but also for you to learn new techniques, use vibrant colors, and get inspired by the beautiful nature that surrounds us!

Lesson 1: Misty Flower Meadow in Spring

In our first lesson, we start with a minimalistic landscape, creating simplistic shapes and light, cool tones to build atmospheric spring-themed scenery.

In our summer-themed lesson, we dive into a warm color palette with soft shapes. We will paint a beautiful, dreamy, countryside-inspired summer landscape.

Lesson 3: Golden Autumn Forest

Instructions

Autumn calls for warm and bright oranges and yellows, so in our next lesson, we are painting a simple forest with strong golden-hour sunlight, focusing on the light and dark to create a dimensional painting.

Instructions

In our last lesson, with fluffy snow-filled trees and a gradient-like background, we create a warm and inviting sunset landscape; an eye-catching painting with minimal elements.
